Manitoba Blue Cross
call_madeManitoba Blue Cross began with the movement of group hospitalization and social welfare in the City of Winnipeg. The underlying principles of volunteerism and non-profit status have continued with their unwavering support of the Foundation. Manitoba Blue Cross has been the primary supporter of MMSF – providing both financial and administrative support since its inception. By supporting the MMSF, Manitoba Blue Cross is able to extend its reach beyond the role of a health benefits provider into support of education and health care research.
CancerCare Manitoba Foundation
call_madeIn 2020, the Manitoba Medical Service Foundation (MMSF) and CancerCare Manitoba Foundation (CCMF) agreed to collaborate to fund health-related research in Manitoba.
The Children's Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba
call_madeIn 2008, the Manitoba Medical Service Foundation (MMSF) and the Children's Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM) (formerly known as the Manitoba Institute of Child Health) agreed to collaborate to fund health-related research in Manitoba.
St. Boniface Hospital Albrechtsen Research Centre
call_madeThe MMSF (Manitoba Medical Service Foundation) and the SBRC (St. Boniface Hospital Albrechtsen Research Centre) cooperatively sponsor the Richard Hoeschen Memorial Award. This award was established in 2005 to commemorate his creative and innovative spirit. Currently valued at up to $4,000, the award is funded equally by both organizations.
Kidney Foundation of Canada
call_madeIn 2020, the Manitoba Medical Service Foundation (MMSF) and the Kidney Foundation of Canada (KFOC) agreed to collaborate to fund health-related research in Manitoba.
Victoria General Hospital Foundation
call_madeIn 2013, the Victoria General Hospital Foundation (VGHF) agreed to cooperatively fund health-related research with the MMSF.
Winnipeg Foundation
call_madeThe Winnipeg Foundation (WF) entered into partnership with the MMSF in 2005. They are one of our primary partners and have provided consistent, significant support to researchers since 2006.
Manitoba Medical College Foundation
call_madeThe Manitoba Medical College Foundation cooperatively funded one research grant in 2005 and a second in 2009. Since 2013, the MMCF has been administered by The Winnipeg Foundation.
University of Manitoba
call_madeThe MMSF and the University of Manitoba – Office of the Vice President (Research) jointly funded one health-related research grant in 2009.
The Manitoba Medical Service Foundation has been awarding research grants since 1971. The Foundation has granted millions of dollars to Manitobans for health research and education throughout the province.
